Forensic Nursing CEU Courses

Forensic nursing CEU is intended for nurses who deliver care to victims of crime, commonly in an emergency room, urgent care, or public health setting such as a local government agency:

• Registered Nurses
• Nurse Practitioners
• LPNs/LVNs
• Advanced Practice Nurses

The forensic nurse encounters a unique set of patient and personal needs. When caring for patient crime victims, the nurse must be conscious of patient injury and psychological trauma while thoroughly collecting evidence during the patient examination process that may later be used in a legal setting. Nurses must also be mindful of their own self-care needs when working in such an emotionally taxing environment. Forensic nursing courses provide guidance around these key care delivery and self-care needs:
