CE Requirements for RNs

Total Hours Required: 20 | Elective Hours: 17 | Renewal Cycle in Years: 2

All RNs in the State of Illinois who wish to maintain an active license are required to complete 20 hours of continuing education for license renewal.

For license renewal, RNs must complete:

1 hour of sexual harassment
1 hour of implicit bias
1 hour of diagnosis, treatment and care of Alzheimer's disease, along with other dementia types

CE Requirements for LVNs

Total Hours Required: 20 | Elective Hours: 17 | Renewal Cycle in Years: 2

All LVNs in the State of Illinois who wish to maintain an active license are required to complete 20 hours of continuing education for license renewal.
