CE Requirements for RNs

Total Hours Required: 30 | Elective Hours: 29 | Renewal Cycle in Years: 2

All RNs in the State of New Jersey who wish to maintain an active license are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education for license renewal.

For initial licensure, RNs must complete:

  • 1 hour of organ and tissue donation

For license renewal, RNs must complete:

  • 1 hour of prescribing opioids
