- 1 hour of Ohio Nurse Practice Act (Category A)
CE Requirements for LPNs
Total Hours Required: 24 | Elective Hours: 22 | Renewal Cycle in Years: 2All LPNs in the State of Ohio who wish to maintain an active license are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education for license renewal.
For license renewal, LPNs must complete:
- 1 hour of Ohio Nurse Practice Act (Category A)
CE Requirements for APRNs
Total Hours Required: 24 | Elective Hours: 22 | Renewal Cycle in Years: 2All APRNs in the State of Ohio who wish to maintain an active license are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education for license renewal.
For license renewal, APRNs must complete:
- 1 hour of Ohio Nurse Practice Act (Category A)
- 12 contact hours are required if the CTP has been held for a full renewal period or 6 contact hours if the CTP has been held for less than a full renewal period.
- A CNS who is not certified by a national nursing certifying organization must obtain 12 additional contact hours in the nurses area of practice or in relevant programs from other health care disciplines.

Requirements for Successful Completion
Learners will receive individual certificates for the completion of each course in the package. Upon completion of all of the courses, learners will have the ability to receive a single certificate for the entire package. It is the learner's responsibility to ensure their license information is properly inputted in their profile with the correct license information.
NOTE: After each activity, a question will ask how likely each course is to be recommended which will provide Relias data on how relevant the content is to the current market. Learners must view courses in their entirety and complete the evaluation survey to receive the single course CE certificate.
