Overview
This course educates Ohio nurses on the laws and regulations of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and how to apply them in daily practice.Goals and Learning Outcomes
The Ohio Board of Nursing, or OBN, regulates the practice of nursing for public safety. This course discusses the OBN regulations, as stated in Chapter 4723 of the Ohio Administrative Code and Ohio Revised Code, and how they impact your nursing practice. You will explore Ohio nurse licensure requisites, continuing education requirements, and the standards of practice required for you to remain compliant with Ohio laws.

- Recall at least three responsibilities of the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Identify two differences between licensed RNs and LPNs in Ohio.
- Recognize the Standards of Practice for Ohio nurses.
- Indicate at least three violations of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
