About Lera
Lera Acey is a newly graduated practical nurse with a background as a registered care aide. She is beginning her nursing career with a foundation in community care, general surgery, and infectious disease. Lera entered healthcare as a private caregiver, later working as an RCA in home support before bridging into nursing.
Before entering healthcare, Lera earned a BFA and MFA and built a multidisciplinary arts career that included filmmaking, new media work, and writing for galleries and publications. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she now lives and works in Vancouver, Canada.
