Artificial intelligence is not here to replace nurses but it’s here to support us. Join Alice Benjamin, ACNS-BC, FNP-C as we explore how emerging technologies like AI-powered documentation, clinical decision support, and predictive analytics are reducing charting burdens, streamlining workflows, and flagging patient risk to give nurses more time to focus on what truly matters: direct patient care.

But with these advances come new challenges. While AI can assist, nurses remain the heart of healthcare. We’ll discuss how to strike the balance between embracing innovation and maintaining critical thinking, patient advocacy, and bedside presence. Because no matter how smart the tools become, they can’t replace the human touch or ethical judgment that nurses bring to every shift.

Learning Objectives

  • Explain how technologies like AI, clinical decision support, and predictive analytics are enhancing nursing workflows and patient safety.
  • Identify ways technology can reduce documentation burden and improve time management at the bedside.
  • Evaluate strategies to integrate emerging tech into nursing practice while maintaining critical thinking, advocacy, and ethical care
