I took a CE test and my certificate will not print. What should I do?
After taking the test, you can check your transcript for the
course. If the course is there, click on the view button to the right of the title to view your certificate and print it.
For our Unlimited CE members or other registered users, your
transcript can be accessed after logging on. Just click on View Transcript
under Account Tools on the left side of your screen at www.Nurse.com/CE.
For customers who have not signed up for an account, click
on the "Find CE Certificates" link under the Registered Users login area at www.Nurse.com/CE. You can then enter your name and license
number (as you entered them when you took the test) to view your transcript. Click
on the view button to the right of the title to view your certificate and print
it.
If none of these options are working for you, you can
contact our Continuing Education office at (800) 866-0919 or ce@gannetthg.com and let them know what test
you took so they can track down your test and send you a copy of your
certificate.

Why can't I log on to the account given to me by my employer?
Please make sure you are going to the correct place to log
in to your employer-sponsored CE Direct account by going to www.Nurse.com/CE and clicking CE Direct under
Education or by going directly to www.Nurse.com/CEdirect. Then, pick your employer’s name and enter
your login information.
If you continue to have difficulty, please contact our
continuing education office at (800) 866-0919 or ce@gannetthg.com.

What is the difference between an Unlimited CE account and a registered user account?
Anyone can sign up for a registered user account on our
website for free. This account will
store your personal information so you don't have to re-enter it each time you
take a test. In addition, it will make
it easier for you to track down tests taken while logged into that account with
an easily accessible transcript. There
is no fee and no expiration date to a registered user account. To sign-up, click on New Account on the left
side of the page at www.Nurse.com/CE.
Any registered user can choose to sign up for an Unlimited
CE account for only $44.95 for one year. With a one-year Unlimited Online CE
membership, all online courses 1.5 contact hours or less and all state-specific
mandatory modules are free. All other online courses are 50% off.
If you have been given a login ID and password or gift card
by your employer, you do not want to log on at www.nurse.com/ce. For CE Direct customers, please go to www.Nurse.com/CEdirect. For gift cards, please go to www.CEgiftcard.com.

Can I use your continuing education courses to renew my license?
We have a providership through the Nurses Credentialing Center's
Commission on Accreditation (the accrediting arm of the ANA). Every state will
accept our self-study continuing education courses for the renewal of license
for nurses. For complete provider
information, go to www.Nurse.com/CE/Accreditation.html.
Nursing Spectrum's continuing education (CE) contact hours
are generally accepted by most professional nursing organizations. Nursing Spectrum has made substantial efforts to obtain
appropriate providerships for CE offerings. However, Nursing Spectrum does not
warrant that all professional organizations or licensing authorities will
accept its CE contact hours. If in doubt, nurses are advised to contact their
professional organizations or licensing authorities to confirm their acceptance
of these contact hours.

I am not an RN (or I’m not yet licensed) but your system is asking for an RN license number. Can I take your tests?
Yes, you can take continuing education courses on our website regardless of the status of your licensure. To complete the test, you cannot leave the license number field blank, but we are not verifying your licensure information so any data will do. If you are a licensed professional in another field, enter that information. If you have not yet received your license, you could enter “pending” or “student.” Make sure to pick values from the drop down menus for the license type and license state as well.
For all participants: Please check and make sure that you will be able to use our courses to meet whatever requirements you might be trying fulfill before taking our courses.
I am trying to create a user account but it won’t accept my username. What am I doing wrong?
It may be that you are choosing a username that includes unacceptable characters. Accepted characters are A-Z, a-z, 0-9, - (dash), and _ (underscore). You cannot use symbols (like @#$.) or spaces.
After I have completed and pass a course will I be certified in this area?
When you complete a Nursing Spectrum CE course, you get a certificate showing how many contact hours you have earned after completing a test. A 'certification' is different. It generally comes either after attending a seminar teaching hands-on skills or after fulfilling the requirements set out by a national organization that offers certification in certain specialty areas.
I would like for my nurses to take some courses. How do I setup a corporate account? Is there a contact number I can call regarding CE Direct?
Nursing Spectrum continuing education does offer options to allow employers to offer unlimited access to our online courses for their employees. For information, please call our CE Direct toll-free number: (877) 226-5953.

If you are an RN living in the USA, depending on your mailing address, you are entitled to receive Nursing Spectrum or NurseWeek magazine FREE of charge. Click here to sign up for a free copy. |
Can students receive the magazine?
Actually, there is a senior nursing student program set up in select areas. Students may sign up at the beginning of the Fall school semester with their instructor if interested in receiving a copy. The magazines are then delivered to the school and distributed to the senior students that signed up. Magazines are only shipped during the school year from September through April. If interested, please check with your nursing
instructor or Dean of Nursing at your school. Once a student becomes licensed as an RN, then the magazine can be ordered and shipped directly to their home.
Can LPNs or CNAs receive the magazine?
At this time, no. Although LPNs are a vital aspect of the nursing community as well as CNAs a large part of healthcare, our magazine can only be mailed to actively licensed RNs. Since our magazine is sponsored by recruitment advertisers looking to hire RNs, we are limited by the number of copies as well as regions covered that we can distribute to.
How do I get the magazine?
If you are a licensed RN living in one of our qualified areas to receive a FREE subscription, for fastest service, you may fax your written request along with your signature to (847) 490-0469. You may also call us toll free at (800) 770-0866 and request a subscription to be started or fill out the application online on our website www.Nurse.com/Subscriptions. When applying over the phone or online, you will also receive a verification letter asking for your signature to complete the request.
I stopped receiving the magazine. What do I need to do to restart my subscription?
There may be a couple of answers to why you are no longer receiving the magazine. Have you moved recently? Possibly there is no longer a postal forwarding for your address change. Also, you may have moved to an area not designated as one of the free distribution areas. Do you recall signing a renewal card? If not, your subscription may have lapsed. If these do not apply, please contact our Customer Service department toll free at (800) 770-0866 so that we may assist you further.
I moved and need to update my address. Who should I contact?
Change of address information may be submitted through our website www.Nurse.com/Subscriptions as well as in writing to our address at Gannett Healthcare Group, 2353 Hassell Rd Suite 110, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169. You may also call our Customer Service department at (800) 770-0866.
Why do I have to provide my license number?
We need your license number so that we can be certain that an RN is receiving Nursing Spectrum or NurseWeek magazine. Because we are a FREE publication, we want to be sure our magazine is only going to RNs for whom our content is designed for. Additionally, our magazines are sponsored by recruitment advertisers for RN positions and to ensure that the magazine stays free of charge to you, we verify that you are indeed an RN qualified to receive it. Lastly, having your license number helps us to avoid duplication of names in our mailing list. Your license number is used internally for verification purposes only and is never given out to a third party.
Why do you need my signature after I have already put in all my information online?
In order to verify your request for this publication for USPS requirements, we ask for a signature. The post office requires your signature so we can deliver this free publication on a regular basis. Therefore, a sign-up or renewal card mailer is sent out or a coupon is offered periodically inside the magazine pages for this purpose.
