How to Renew Your LPN License in Maryland

Renewing your Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland is a priority to maintain your professional standing and continue practicing legally. • College or university coursework related to nursing practice can also qualify, with 15 CEUs awarded per semester hour, provided you achieve a grade of "C" or higher.
• CEUs must be earned within the two years immediately preceding the renewal application and cannot be carried forward into the next renewal period.

• Expiration date: 28th day of your birth month every two years.
• Late renewal: You can renew online up to 30 days after the expiration date, but practicing with an expired license is illegal.
