St. Joseph's Receives Grant

St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital received a $15,000 grant for wound care expansion through the hospital's foundation from the Edward W. and Stella C. Van Houten Memorial Fund. The grant will enhance wound care treatment protocols and expand wound care training and education for the hospital's staff and families.

Chronic wounds caused by diabetes, poor circulation, and other conditions, affect 3 to 5 million Americans a year. Training for prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment in wound care is necessary to fight this debilitating condition.
