About Krysten

Krysten Sorenson is a critical care nurse with over 10 years of experience. Her writing explores the intersection of medicine, humanity, and resilience. She draws from her experiences to tell stories that honor both patients and caregivers. She graduated with her ASN in 2013, then completed her BSN in 2015. She started her nursing career in trauma, working in a burn ICU. After several years, she transitioned to an ICU float pool, where she worked in multiple critical care units, including neuro, trauma, surgical, medical, and cardiovascular ICUs. She has also taught clinical nursing at a collegiate level and enjoys sharing her passion for nursing with the next generation of nurses.
