Clinical Questions 

Question: Walk me through your pre-anesthetic assessment process.

• Example answer: “I start with a thorough chart review, including medical history, prior anesthetic records, airway evaluation, labs, and imaging. I assess ASA classification and comorbidities,, discuss risks and expectations with the patient, and formulate primary and backup anesthesia plans.”
• Look for: Systematic thinking, patient safety focus, risk stratification, communication skills.

Question: How do you manage a difficult airway scenario?

• Example answer: “I identify risk factors early, prepare airway adjuncts, and ensure backup plans are in place. I follow airway algorithms and communicate clearly with the surgical team. If necessary, I move quickly to advanced airway techniques or call for assistance.”
• Look for: Preparation, adherence to protocols, situational awareness, teamwork under pressure.

Question: Describe your approach to intraoperative hypotension.
