Position Summary: Provides high level of holistic care and services for the resident while serving as a clinical expert for the Interdisciplinary team and the family. Acts as a liaison to physicians to ensure all resident and family needs are being met.
Recruitment Requirements: Must be a graduate from an accreditedSchoolofNursing, a graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program with a Master’s Degree in Nursing, licensed as a Registered Nurse, certified as a Nurse Practitioner by American Nurses Association .Formal education in the area of Gerontology; minimum of 2 yrs. working with adult or geriatric population desired. Thorough knowledge of advance practice nursing theory, techniques, and practices; considerable knowledge of medications, their proper management and expected results; ability to make quick decisions in emergencies. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to interact in a positive manner with all internal/external contacts.
