Position Description
Plans, treats, evaluates, and performs health assessment of patients; administers advanced nursing care in a particular clinical specialty area (such as Family Medicine, OBGYN, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics), under the direction of the licensed physician. Knowledgeable about nursing principles and theories, current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including nursing diagnosis and the prescription of medical therapeutics or corrective measures in collaboration with and under the direction of the licensed physician.
Education and Experience
Licensed as Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. Graduate of an accredited program leading to certification as a Nurse Practitioner required. MSN preferred. Some previous nursing and/or nurse practitioner experience in the clinical specialty is preferred.
