Currently seeking an experienced Acute Care NPto join the Hospitalist team in the Department of Medicine at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
This exciting Nurse Practitioner opportunity will be to assist with the Emergency Department Consult Service in the Department of Medicine at Inova Fairfax Hospital.Our midlevel providers consistently comment on the quality of physician supervision, as well as the supportive and collaborative environment in the department.
The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner provides safe and therapeutic care in holistic and systemic ways to include the assessment and overall management of care for critically ill patients under the supervision of an MD. Job expectations include:

| Job & Education Requirements: | ||||||||||||||||
3-5 years of clinical nursing experience as an RN. Acute Care NP experience preferred.
Nurse Practitioners must have must have an RN Compact License (depending on State of primary residence) and a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia AND a "Prescriptive Authority for Licensed Nurse Practitioners Practice Agreement" signed by sponsoring/supervising physician(s), AND a written "Scope of Practice/Protocol" signed by the supervising physician, AND "Prescriptive Authority License" AND "Drug Enforcement Administration License" (if prescribing controlled substances). |
