Field Director Hospital Accreditation

The Joint Commission evaluates and accredits more than 19,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States.  An independent, not-for-profit organization, The Joint Commission is the nation’s predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in health care.  Our accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to earning and meeting certain performance standards.

We currently seek a Field Director – Surveyor Management & Development – Hospital to join our team in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

This position provides direction and leadership to our surveyors in the Hospital Accreditation Program.  The position also selects, manages, trains and evaluates surveyors. Additionally, the Field Director will assist with workforce planning and strategic planning initiatives. Ensures that organizations receive excellent customer service and that their accreditation and certification needs are met. Provides program specific knowledge and information to internal and external customer 

Qualifications: RN with a master's degree in management or a related field.  At least five years of managerial experience in a hospital setting and knowledge of Joint Commission policies, standards, survey, accreditation and certification process. Remote workforce management experience a plus.  30-50% travel.
