Nurse Manager - CAPU/Adolescent.*

Manages and oversees clinical, human and other resources within the child and adolescent psychiatric unit.  Develops and implements goals and objectives to support the unit and organization in the changing health care environment. Utilizes and provides direction in the child and adoelscent nursing process, regulatory readiness, performance management/improvement process and the allocation of resources within established reimbursement/budget parameters. Promotes patient focus services and exceptional customer service outcomes for patients and visitors. Maintains competence in clinical nursing practice, remaions current in the literature regarding child and adoelscent mental health issues and obtains relative education. Responsible for the retention, recruitment and development of competent clinical staff.  

Ability to read and communicate in the English language. Successful completion from an accredited school of nursing. NJ RN license. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required, Master's degree highly desireable. Cetification in Psychiatric Nursing, or willingness to begin working on certification on successful completion of probationary period. A combination of education and management experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Five years clinical experience in related nursing area. Prior management experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of health care financial systems, education skills, knowledge of and ability to use computers. Possesses excellent human relations and leadership skills.
