The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall functioning of an assigned area of the Ambulatory Care Department, maintaining a smooth patient flow in the area under his or her supervision, and the recommendation and implementation of procedures to improve the quality of service and the maintenance of efficiency. The Nurse Manager is also responsible for case management and patient care delivery through nursing assessment, nursing intervention, patient education, patient care coordination and utilization of referral services, as part of the health care system. He or she will also assist in providing treatment and addressing patient non-compliance and other patient follow-up issues along with participating in the planning, coordination, and the delivery of patient education, health enhancement and disease prevention activities on behalf of community residents and patients, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Additionally, the Nurse Manager is responsible for the supervision of staff engaged in direct patient care such as RNs, LPNs and Medical Assistants..

The successful candidate for this position will minimally possess a Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN). Additionally, the successful candidate will have demonstrated supervisory skills and care management experience, excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, the ability to work in a team environment, and be flexible in taking on various projects.
