Description The Clinical Resource Coordinator is responsible for determining the appropriateness of hospital admission, utilization of resources and medical necessity for continued stay; facilitates timely discharge; assures medical documentation accurately reflects the patient's severity of illness, provides appropriate interventions and discharge planning services to the patients and families; and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION: ASN or Nursing Diploma REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three years health care experience. One year interqual experience or one year Milliman-Robertson experience of completion of a Case Management certification program or completion of Case Management internship program within 3 months of hire. REQUIRED LICENSURE: FL RN License PREFERRED CERTIFICATION: Case Manager certification and CPUM certification PREFERRED EDUCATION: BSN SPECIFIC SKILLS: Customer service skills, interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, computer skills appropriate to position, work independently with minimal supervision, teamwork and critical thinking skills
