| Job Details: | - Masters degree is preferred - Certification Required - Licensed in the State of MD or Compact State (RN) - Computer skills required - Customer service skills required - Experience is required - Good communication skills required General Summary: Plans, implements and measures care for a defined patient population both in the hospital and the community. Is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and if necessary, delegating patient care to a specified group of patients. Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals and other staff to ensure the quality of care given. Provides care for the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient (as defined in the unit scope of care). Utilizes knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patients age to ensure that care provided meets the unique, physical and psychosocial needs of the patient. Involves appropriate parties (i.e. patients family or guardian, outside agencies) in the assessment, treatment and continuing care of the patient as needed. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree required, MBA, MHS, or other health-related Masters degree preferred, Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse required, OCN or navigation certification preferred, two years experience working with oncology patients required, nurse navigation experience and certification preferred,BLS certified.
