WOUND/OSTOMY Nurse Specialist | | Department: | Ostomy Clinic | | Schedule: | Part Time | | Shift: | Day/Evening | | Hours: | 20 | | Job Details: | - Under general supervision, functions as a clinical consultant, educator, and program developer. Facilitates the development and delivery of quality care for wound/ostomy/continence patients. Collaborates with medical and nursing clinicians, operational personnel, and outside agencies to improve clinical services in a cost effective manner. Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). Five years experience as a Registered Nurse, minimum one year experience in specialty area. Interpersonal skills appropriate to instruct patients and families, to conduct formal educational programs, and to maintain effective relationships with Medical Center personnel and clients. Analytical skills appropriate to develop and evaluate educational programs, resolve complex patient care problems, and prepare comprehensive plans of care. Current specialty certification by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses Certification Board. Current Maryland Registered Nurse license. Current "Healthcare Provider" CPR certification.
