IV Therapy RN (PICC Team)

Please Note: At this time, we are only interviewing Nurses with at least 1 year of  PICC Team/IV Therapy RN experience in a Hospital setting.

Position Responsibilities:Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the need of patients for PICC placement vs. peripheral IV Therapy needs. Provides insertion of bedside PICC or difficult IV access. Provides follow-up inpatient care PICC and lines inserted by team and appropriate documentation of all activities related to such. Provides access for CVC for nursing staff and helps develop staff competencies related to CVC access. Provides support to education related to IV, CVC, and PICC access to nursing staff through orientation, competency assessment and continuing education when necessary. Address systems issues to facilitate the provision of quality efficient IV Therapy care. Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, time management and problem solving skills required.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must poses a current State of New Jersey RN license.
• Must have a minimum of one year recent clinical experience in PICC/IV Therapy nursing.
• B.C.L.S. certification required.
• A.C.L.S. certification preferred.
• PICC certification required.
