SCT Transport RN

Responsible for inter-facility transportation of critically ill patients. Must ensure that all necessary items for transport are in available stock, and re-stocked at end of day. Must complete the patient care report and report verbally and in writing, leaving a copy of the patient care report with an authorized representative of the receiving facility.  

Successful completion of a nursing program from an accredited school of nursing. Current license with the New Jersey State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred. One year of Critical Care experience, BCLS, ACLS, Critical Care certification and PALS required. TNCC, ENPC and previous transport experience preferred. Interpersonal communication skills (both written and oral) required in order to educate and comfort patients and their families, maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel and maintain appropriate documentation records. Ability to read and communicate in the English language.
