Description

Provides classroom, clinical and / or laboratory instruction to nursing students in the areas of nursing concepts and clinical practice, uses traditional, non-traditional, and innovative methods of instructions, including the use of technology; uses effective interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills while instructing in an integrated curriculum that emphasizes professionalism, ethical decision-making, accountability, critical thinking, and effective communication; utilizes the application of liberal arts constructs, science, health, nursing theories, and evidence-based practice to achieve these curriculum outcomes. Demonstrates a commitment to student academic success; assists students in acquiring the intellectual and psychomotor skills necessary for the practice of nursing and is accountable for the promotion of safe and effective nursing through teaching, service, and collaboration with other professionals.

 

This position is critical to the success of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.

REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Nursing, or higher; BSN with master’s preparation in another area may be considered

Minimum 3 years clinical experience with expertise in content area of teaching

One year experience in classroom teaching preferred Knowledgeable in teaching/learning principles

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Current AZ license as a registered professional nurse, or current licensure in a compact state

Current BLS for Health Care Provider
