Currently, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an opening for a Nurse Practitioner (Job Number 30186)

The Nurse Practitioner under the supervision of the attending physician works collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Provides care for patients in the inpatient setting and addresses both acute and chronic issues in managing disease and treatment-related complications. Collects, documents and analyzes patient data; collaborates in the development and implementation of treatment plans; coordinates patient care with ancillary clinical services; makes appropriate referrals to consulting medical staff; provides follow up to referring physicians; may orient or precept students and new staff. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the institution.

Education Requirements:

  • Master's degree in clinical nursing.

  • Experience Requirements:

  • Pediatric or oncology experience preferred.

    Licensure Requirements:
  • Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.
  • Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
  • Supervising Physician: verified by St. Jude Managed Care Department
  • Nurse Practitioner Certification: American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Certificate of Fitness: State of Tennessee - Division of Health Related Boards
  • DEA certification: U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration
  • Must possess a current Advanced Practice Nurse License issued by the Tennessee State Board of Nursing.
