Assumes 24 hour accountability for clinical and adminitsrative activities in the PACU and Ambi service lines. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls, all clinical and patient care activities. Responsible for training, development,oirientation, and management of all personnel of the unit, ensuring patient service is continuous and of high quality. Relates effectively with perioperative team members for continuity of care. Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required. Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program. Registered Nurse (RN) with valid CT state license required. Five years of nursing experience, two years of PACU experience preferred. Previous management experience preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Membership and participation in professional nursing and community organizations preferred. Certified Nurse in the critical care or perianesthesia nursing certification preferred.
