You will work closely with the Trauma program and management team. Our brand new, state-of-the-art, Emergency Department (ED) has 74 beds divided into zones including acute and non-acute areas. Radiology, including CT scan and ultrasound, along with laboratory services are based in the ED to provide outstanding support to our clinical team.

 

JOIN US NOW as we are seeking a Manager of Nursing Services to be responsible for the 24 hour management of our Emergency Department. Leading and coordinating a staff of licensed and unlicensed professionals, this management position will be required to actively participate in the daily operations of the unit, including patient and employee satisfaction, quality initiatives, productivity and departmental budgeting. The Emergency Department has approximately 125 FTE’s with a $2 million operating expense budget. St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center has a progressive Neurosurgery and Neurology program, Medical Teaching facility, as well as extensive Cardiac program. This position is critical to the success of St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

AZ RN license

BSN required

Four years registered nurse experience

 
PREFERRED:

5 years of recent Emergency Services experience, with minimum 4 years progressively responsible leadership.

Current knowledge of trends and practices within the Emergency Department. Good understanding of Joint Commission and CMS guidelines.

Experience with change management projects and implementation processes. Basic understanding of budgetary process and practices.

Excellent networking and communication skills to foster working relationships within the hospital and community services.

CEN preferred.

ACLS, BLS and PALS and or ENPC, ATLS and or TNCC cards
