Position Specifications
Staff Nurse - Labor Delivery

This is a regular, hourly, 12 hour, night shift position, 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week. This position is eligible for our full suite of employee benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage, generous 401(k) plan, commuter programs, and continuing education assistance.

This position is being reserved for individuals who have been displaced due to departmental closures or restructures.  Employees who apply but have not been displaced will not be contacted about the position.  When that process is complete, if the position has not been filled, this message will be removed and regular recruitment will commence

Salary scale:  Scale begins at $26.97 per hour.  Placement within the scale is dependent upon years of work experience. 

Premiums: Evening - $2.75/hr, Night - $3.75/hr, Weekend - $4.00/hr

Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is responsible for working in a team environment using a multidisciplinary approach, with a team of care providers, providing nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.  The RN is also responsible for supervising, coordinating, and delegating personnel who participate in the provision of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program.

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington.  Current BLS and NRP certification.  National certification preferred.

One year of relevant clinical experience preferred.  Demonstrates basic computer skills (word processing, use of keyboard and mouse, etc.).  Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in the English language, verbally and in writing.  Demonstrates ability to use basic math skills.  Maintains skills and competencies defined in the Unit Specific Orientation Competency Skill List.  Completes annual education requirements required to perform adequately in the RN role, including unit specific requirements.
