| | Job Description: | Provides leadership, clinical expertise, education, program development, and consultation to promote the standards of nursing practice in the perioperative area. Works collaboratively with management and other leadership to develop criteria for patient care, assess health needs of patients, and evaluate nursing interventions to achieve optimal nursing practice outcomes. Facilitates problem solving and decision making to influence the development, implementation and evaluation of patient, unit, and departmental goals. Position responsibilities vary with patient population, unit and department needs, and organizational priorities. | | Requirements: | Required: - Master’s in Nursing. - State of Washington RN License. - A minimum of five (5) years of PACU or OR nursing experience, preferably experience in both OR and PACU . - BLS for Healthcare Providers. - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required within 90 days of hire for the following departments: Emergency Department, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Critical Care Float Pool, Recovery Room, Outpatient Procedure Center, Hem/Onc Procedure Room, Interventional Radiology, Pediatric Transport Control, and Bellevue Surgery Center. Preferred: - Previous CNS experience. - National Certification in Specialty Area |
