Job Description:Utilizes clinical expertise to analyze and evaluate concurrent documentation and assure documentation reflects the appropriate level of service delivered to patients at Seattle Children's.  Through extensive interaction with Physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members, is responsible for facilitating modifications to overall quality and completeness of medical record documentation.  This will support the appropriate clinical picture/level of severity of the patient while providing accurate and complete information utilized in the profiling and outcomes reporting of both the Hospital and the Physicians.  This role will interface with management and key Physician leaders at the Hospital as it prepares strategically for a competitive and solid future in today's healthcare market.
Requirements:

Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in a related field and completion of an RN educational program.
- At least three years clinical experience in an acute care setting and demonstrated in-depth. understanding of the patient care environment.
- Working knowledge of APR-DRG, SOI, ROM, HAC, POA indicators and sequencing of coding rules to identify proper diagnoses.
- Experience with chart review and analysis and an excellent ability to self direct the work flow to accomplish departmental goals.

Required Licensure & Certification:
- Current RN Licensure in the State of Washington.

Preferred:
- Prior inpatient Case Management or Utilization Review experience.
- ACDIS/CCDS Certification.
