St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. In an unprecedented effort to identify the genetic changes that give rise to some of the world's deadliest childhood cancers, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in collaboration with Washington University has launched the Pediatric Cancer Genome Project.
Currently, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an opening for a Scheduler, Nursing-Administration (Job Number 20513). An entry level position, the Scheduler I operates under the direct supervision of the Patient Scheduling Coordinator. Creates and coordinates a patient schedule that maximizes hospital resources, streamlines the patient's time on campus, and ensures that patients receive clinically appropriate schedules. Schedules patients via phone or in person correctly and in a timely manner. Maintains a professional image and provides appropriate customer service at all times. Functions as a resource person for patients, families and/or significant others.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday, (4) four 10 hour shifts with rotating day off, 4-7 evenings until 8pm per month will be required; may occasionally be required to work weekends.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited NLN school of nursing.
- Two (2) years of nursing experience required.
- Pediatric and/or oncology nursing experience preferred.
CREDENTIALS REQUIRED BY LAW OR REGULATORY BODY: - Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.
- Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
