St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is a premier center for research and treatment of potentially fatal childhood diseases, including cancer and certain blood, genetic, and immunodeficiency disorders.
Currently, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an opening for a Director of Nursing for Surgical Services (Job Number 20460).
The Director of Nursing for Surgical Services will direct activities of multiple nursing units delivering surgical, pre and post anesthesia care to assure delivery of consistent, high quality patient care and integration of all units into hospital-wide functions. Is ultimately accountable for all activities in the Operating rooms, PACUs, Sedation team and outpatient procedure unit. Ensures consistent practice to meet established nursing standards of care. Accountable to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and efficient accountability to quality and financial benchmarks.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration or other Healthcare related field is required.
- A bachelor's degree in a field outside of Nursing maybe be considered, if master's degree is in Nursing.
- Five (5) years of clinically related experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership role.
