The Coordinator (RN) - Solid Tumor coordinates the recruitment of new patients into the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Solid Tumor Program. The selected candidate will educate families about available protocol therapy before their arrival to St. Jude and promotes optimal care of solid tumor patients. The Coordinator will triage and facilitate second opinions, promote public awareness of the St. Jude Solid Tumor Program, and serve as a liaison between St. Jude and referring institutions for the Solid Tumor Program. Position has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Nursing Executive/CNO. Coordinate with supervisor and Nursing Executive/CNO to ensure consistent institution-wide compliance with standards of nursing practice.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 4 years of nursing experience required; Experience coordinating clinical programs preferred.
  • Pediatric oncology experience preferred.
  • Experience with computer software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) is required.
  • Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.
  • Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
