Description

 

Ministry Health Care's long history of serving Wisconsin continues with Saint Clare's Hospital in Weston, which opened in 2005 to anchor the Weston Regional Medical Center Campus, just minutes from Wausau on Highway 29. Saint Clare's hospital is a state of the art hospital just outside of Wausau, WI. The Operating Room has 8 suites with a variety of surgeries occurring each day.

 

 

The incumbent will:

  • Contributes to the achievement of patient and unit outcomes by working collaboratively with inter- and intradepartmental teams.
  • Embraces innovative approaches and a variety of strategies to support improvements in patient care.
  • Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and colleagues in the development of the plan of care.
  • Evaluates the patient's response to the plan of care, making modifications to achieve identified outcomes and targeted LOS.
  • Coordinates care of the patient, assuring patient care needs are met.
  • Takes action to see that patient receives the right care at the right time.
  • Develops and discusses the plan of care with the patient and/or family collaboratively.
  • Provides and documents education for specific patient health care needs.
  • Demonstrates safe practice in the administration of medications, treatments and use of equipment.
  • Identifies and reports unsafe practices in a proactive manner in order to prevent safety events.
  • Responds to and resolves customer complaints.

 


Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or scheduled to graduate within 6 months.
  • Perioperative nursing experience is required
  • Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or eligible to obtain.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred
