Staff RN - Surgical Unit - 3rd Floor

This 63 bed unit cares for patients (newborn through 21 years) from all surgical services. The diverse patient population, variety of diagnoses and treatments, and high patient acuity make this an ideal place for nurses interested in a challenging, dynamic and medically intensive environment. Our 4th floor team primarily care for Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology, Nephrology, Urology, and solid organ Transplant patients. Our 3rd floor team primarily care for Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Plastic Surgery, and Otolaryngology patients. Nurses on both teams care for General Surgery patients. RNs with at least one year of experience can join our flex team, and work on both 3rd and 4th floors. RNs, working together with their LPN partners and Nursing Technicians, are typically assigned three to six patients. Assignments include an array of complex, cutting edge surgical procedures and treatments. We prioritize teamwork with our programs, and developing the highest level of staff expertise as essential to our vision of being the best pediatric surgical unit in the country. Recent pediatric acute care experience preferred. Current Washington State RN License, current BLS (American Heart Association Health Care Provider, American Safety and Health Institution Professional Level or American AED/CPR Association - Professional Rescuer) and ability to perform CPR are required. Occasional overtime may be required.


3rd Floor Team. 1 year of RN experience required. Pediatric Neurosurgery and Orthopedic Surgery experience preferred.

Hours: Part-Time (0.9 FTE), Nights, 12 Hour Shifts + Call Hours
