The Director/Clinical Education plans, organizes and coordinates all aspects of clinical education within the facility and ensures adjunct education support to non-clinical staff and patients/families/public through collaborative outreach, distribution, communication, or presentation. The role holds overall accountability for developing / maintaining an evolving and comprehensive education program based on an annual assessment of educational needs. The role requires thorough knowledge of establishing and achieving educational objectives; theory/didactic and core curricula design; presentation via oral, visual, tactile, demonstration; and testing/evaluation of skill and knowledge acquired. The position serves as an integral part of the nursing leadership team. Qualifications Education: Bachelors Degree in a Nursing, healthcare related field, or in Education (as a secondary degree) required; advanced degree in clinical, healthcare, or education required, i.e., Masters Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, Education (with a Bachelor in Nursing as a secondary degree). Experience: Minimum of five (5) years progressive growth in the healthcare setting with a preference of experience in education, quality (or related focus), or nursing leadership. Professional Requirement: Current licensure in the state of Tennessee, as appropriate. Proficiency: BLS, ALS, PALS required (instructor-level desirable) Certifications: Certified in a nursing specialty area (CCRN, CEN, RNC, CNOR, CNEP, CAN/CNAA, or other).
