As a Primary Stroke Center accredited by the Joint Commission, we are committed to ensuring our patients have access to the highest levels of stroke care available. Our Neuroscience Unit is a 28-bed Neuro-Telemetry unit, 50 FTE's offering exceptional care for the Neuro/Stroke patients we serve.
Our Neuro Intensive Care Unit is a 12-bed ICU, 20 FTE's offering exceptional care for the Neuro/Stroke patients we serve.
The Director Neuroscience Critical Care assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for nursing care in the Neuroscience Unit and Neuroscience ICU. The position requires knowledge and skill of professional nursing theory and practice, leadership in administration, principles of effective teaching and learning, fiscal management, and effective interpersonal relationships and communication. Knowledge, understanding, acceptance, and support of the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the nursing service and the institution as a whole are essential. The director works with medical staff and other health care professionals collaboratively.
Qualifications
A. Licensure/Certifications:
1. Valid State RN license.
2. BLS ACLS
3. CNRN or CCRN a plus
B. Education:
1. Bachelors required BSN preferred
2. Masters Degree preferred
C. Experience:
1. Minimum 5 years current experience in acute care management
2. At least 3 years recent Neuroscience Director experience
3. Strong Leadership and Communication Skills
4. Ability to take on multiple projects
5. Strong relationship building skills to promote growth
