The staff registered nurse provides patient care through utilization of the nursing process. The nursing process is demonstrated by the staff registered nurse's ability to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary health care team in planning, directing, providing and evaluating patient care. The staff registered nurse may serve as a direct care nurse, as a team leader responsible for nursing care, and/or providing appropriate communications with other health team members and as relief in a higher classification when necessary. Qualifications -Current licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana. -Current Basic Life Support certification -A score of 80% or better on the written employment exam. The exam will assess competency upon initial employment.
