Recruitment Coordinator, TIP Educational Programs (Admin Coordinator)
Occupational Summary: Assist the Director of Domestic Educational Programs in developing, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive recruitment plan that yields qualified candidates for a range of short term non-permanent positions in Duke TIP#s various educational programs.
Work Performed: Consult with hiring managers regarding recruitment and staffing issues, policies and processes. Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive recruitment plan understanding and supporting the recruitment needs of various TIP educational programs, and aggressively recruit for qualified candidates. Consult with the TIP HR Coordinator regarding Duke hiring requirements as needed.
Make budgetary projections and recommendations to the Director regarding overall recruitment needs and expenses; coordinate this budget with appropriate staff members within Duke TIP#s Educational Programs and Duke TIP#s Finance Division; monitor and verify expenditures
Serve as Duke TIP liaison with administrative and academicpersonnel at universities, colleges, and other institutions from which Duke TIP is recruiting staff members.
Prepare operational and financial reports and analyses reflecting progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations and conclusions.
Keep abreast of market trends and demands impacting Duke TIP#s ability to attract qualified candidates; serve as resource to hiring managers regarding such trends; coordinate with Director of Domestic Educational Program in advising hiring managers on compensation considerations.
Coordinate division personnel activity to meet recruiting and staffing objectives.
During Summer Studies Programs, coordinate program activities on one or more campus sites; travel to host sites to ensure proper program preparedness and monitor program operations; evaluate program operations and recommend program improvements. Evaluate performance of recruited staff.

Qualifications:
Bachelor#s degree in education-related field preferred. Two years experience in a Human Resources environment or general business background required. Familiarity in general personnel practices, budgeting principles in an educational environment a plus. Proven communication skills and strong organizational abilities are essential as well as the ability to work independently and as a team member.
Education
Work requires a general business background generally equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a business related field.
Experience
Work requires 2 years related business or administrative experience to become familiar with general personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of major office activities. A master's degree in a business related field may be substituted for 2 years experience. OR ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
