Description North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System is one of the largest and most progressive health systems in the nation, serving over five million people throughout Long Island, Queens and Staten Island. In this role, the Specialist will provides clinical information systems (CIS) support to nurses and allied health professionals throughout the health system. Actively participates in assessment of workflow related processes/requirements and facilitates system enhancements and modifications to meet clinician requirements. Recommends and implements approved system improvements. Acts as a liaison with the Nursing Institute and Quality/Risk Management to coordinate and communicate CIS projects and outcomes measurement. Qualifications - BSN degree required, MS degree preferred.
- NYS RN Licensure Required.
- Minimum of five years ambulatory clinical experience including leadership, and/or education.
- Current clinical practice/expertise and a strong customer service focus with ability to develop effective working relationships is also required.
- Current knowledge of clinical practices and related information systems and computer application, required.
- Demonstrates initiative, problem identification, resolution and analytical skills are essential as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Maintains current knowledge of trends and advances in the field of Nursing and healthcare informatics as well as new developments in hardware and software technology.
