General Summary:This regional position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive telestroke program internally and externally. The Coordinator is responsible for multiple aspects of the telestroke program including outreach, operational roll out and day to day oversight of the program. The Coordinator will be a liaison with hospitals that are part of the Providence telestroke network, ensuring that hospitals are satisfied with all components of the program. Through collaboration with key clinical and administrative leaders at Providence, the Coordinator ensures that the managers and physicians are aware of all network telestroke programs in place and ensure supporting infractures. The Coordinator will also be a liaison with the telestroke vendor and will coordinate all demonstrations, on-site trainings and education. Required:Current Registered Nurse state license in good standing. Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with BSN. Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in acute care emergency services and/or stroke care. Must have a current, valid Oregon State driver's license. Knowledge of healthcare systems, including coordination of care with multiple medical centers and EMS. Knowledge of current treatments and guidelines for acute stroke care and the most current approaches in managing the care delivery for acute stroke patients (thrombolytics and interventional timelines).
