The Nurse Educator develops clinical expertise in our Hospice RN's and delivers educational programs directed at expanding and enhancing nursing and ancillary staff knowledge and clinical practice. This role effectively collaborates with clinical managers, clinical nurse specialists, and other staff to plan, implement, and evaluate programs including orientation and new staff training to meet the changing identified needs of this outstanding Hospice organization.
Education | Bachelors degree in Nursing and Master's degree in Nursing or Education |
Experience | At least five (5) years experience in Hospice/ Palliative Care Nursing with two (2) years concurrent experience applying educational concepts, including program planning and evaluation. |
Skills | · Knowledge of nursing and adult educational theories in order to assess, plan, implement and evaluate quality successful educational programs · Analytic skills necessary in order to develop and evaluate educational programs, and assess learning needs of Hospice staff. |
Licensures, Certifications | · Must possess current Maryland State license as a Registered Nurse. · Solid computer skills and experience working in an electronic documentation environment. · Completion of "Healthcare Provider" CPR course, every (2) years. |
