Registered Nurse - Radiation Therapy

The Radiation Oncology Nurse is accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care provided to adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting demonstrating competency in the specialty area of radiation oncology. Demonstrates the ability to work with a patient's physical, developmental, and psychosocial needs specific to each population being served and meets standards of quality.
Some of the services provided by Radiation Therapy are: CT-Based Simulation, Image-guided Radiation Therapy, Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), External-Beam Radiation, Brachytherapy, MammoSite Breast Brachytherapy, Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Yttrium 90 Microspheres.

Experience:
R.N. with 1-3 years of experience in a hospital setting in radiation oncology or medical oncology required. OCN preferred and willing to continue education in the cancer specialty. Must have Fl RN license, BLS and a passion to make a difference in the lives of our patients.
