RN OPPORTUNITIES
New Graduate RNs for Pediatric Oncology
As the primary care coordinators of interdisciplinary patient-care activities, the new graduate RN for Pediatric Oncology is responsible for the management of patients throughout their continuum of care at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Duties include accountability for high-quality patient care through implementation of the nursing process, including assessment of patient needs (physical, psychosocial, educational), design of a collaborative plan of care, implementation of the plan with appropriate delegation of tasks, coordination of team effort, and evaluation of patient progress toward outcomes. Acting as a patient/family advocate, this position seeks opportunities to communicate and coordinate patient care activities throughout the continuum in collaboration with other members of the Health Care Team.
Requirements
- Graduation from a school of nursing required.
- RN required (within 6 months of hire for new graduates).
- BSN preferred.
- Experience in pediatric or oncology nursing preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical-nursing, interpersonal, and patient-education skills.
Licensure Credentials
- Must possess current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure Non-Compact state.
- Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
Clinical Research Associate RN
Operating under general supervision, this position performs data abstraction, collection, and entry to support clinical research and preparing submission for all reportable events. Duties encompass developing, maintaining, and/or monitoring case report forms and ensuring compliance with prescribed interventions and evaluations of the assigned protocol(s). In addition, this position provides data to the collaborating research organization or study sponsor, prepares data reports, and provides patient care, education, and management.
Requirements
- Graduation from a school of nursing is required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- 2 or more years of clinical and/or research experience required.
- Clinical research experience preferred.
Licensure Credentials
•Must possess current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure Non-Compact state.
•Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
•Certification in clinical research from the Society of Clinical Research Associates or the Association of Clinical Research Professionals must be obtained within one year of assuming the position.
