Job Description:  Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has an immediate opening for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to provide leadership, consultation, education and patient care management expertise for the adult critical care patient population. The Clinical Nurse Specialist is an expert clinical practitioner providing guidance, direction and assistance to the health care team in maintaining optimum quality of nursing care. This care is consistent with Nursing Standards of Care/Practice, the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care, The Plan for Provision of Patient Care, CSMC Code of Conduct, the Performance Improvement Plan, the Patient Education Plan and Professional Organization Standards. 

Education and Work Experience Preferences:  Requirements include current CA RN license, ACLS, BCLS, MSN and a minimum of 5 years experience as critical care CNS. Critical care specialty certification is preferred. Must be CNS certified by the CA BRN, have national certification or eligibility for certification as CNS. Full command (verbal and written) of the English language and the physical ability and perceptive acuity to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
