Job Description:  The Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health at Cedars-Sinai treats all types of mental illnesses, we have two Inpatient Adult Acute Psychiatric Units which contain 51 beds, and a state-of-the-art ECT site for inpatients and outpatients. As a vital part of a Magnet designated hospital and world-renowned teaching facility, we support education, research and optimal patient care.

The Clinical Nurse II makes clinical judgments and carries out related nursing interventions using the nursing process without supervision. She/he demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination, implementation and documentation of patient care and consistently performs according to the standards of the profession. She/he assumes ultimate responsibility and accountability in the managing her/his patient care and in assisting others in the management of patient care. He/she maintains competency skills including the ability of the adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to follow direction/instructions and give consent. 
Education and Work Experience Preferences:  License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
A valid California Registered Nurse License. Current Basic Life Support Certification Preferred. Current Fire Class Card Preferred. Current CPI Card Preferred. Position is 8hrs, Full Time, Evenings.

Experience:
One year or more acute care experience required and inpatient nursing experience preferred.

Physical Demands:
Walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling.
