Job Description: Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Emergency Department has immediate openings for experienced Assistant Manager. Our Emergency Department is a Level I designated Trauma Center servicing over 78,000 patients per year; it is the third busiest paramedic base station in Los Angeles County. Along with our comprehensive emergency service for adults, we are a DHS designated Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics facility. In addition the hospital is classified as a Pediatric Critical Care Center. Our state of the art Emergency Department consists of 39 multiple function rooms including 4 trauma bays, and specialty focused rooms for GYN, EENT, orthopedics and our newly developed Fast track area.

Education and Work Experience Preferences: Educational Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing required. Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
• Valid State of California Registered Nurse License.
• BCLS credentialed.
• Specialty Certification Required.
Experience:
• Five (5) years experience in acute care setting which includes three (3) years in specialty and supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission and other state and local regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of health care technology within specialty area.
• Demonstrates commitment to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues.
• Full command (verbal and written) of the English language.
Physical Demands:
• The physical ability and perceptive acuity to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
• Must be able to perform assigned duties in a demanding work environment.
