The RN Informaticist must meet the following job requirements:

• -CA Registered Nurse License upon hire
• -Minimum 1 year Acute hospital Emergency Department and/or Surgery experience
• -Participation with the implementation of an electronic documentation system
• -BSN required

The RN Informaticist responsibilities include:

• -Designs and uses informatics solutions and technology to support all areas of nursing, including the direct provision of care, establishing effective administrative systems, designing useful decision support systems, managing and delivering educational experiences, enhancing lifelong learning and supporting nursing research
• -Improves the health of populations, communities, families and individuals by optimizing information management and communication
• -Works with the Clinical Director and team to coordinate and direct the day-to-day activities of the projects
• -Coordinates and executes education necessary to ensure success of project implementation
• -Works as a team member to plan, test, and implement new functionality related to project
• -Manages, coordinates, and executes the assigned tasks and/or projects on time
• -Maintains complete project files and correspondence
