RN, Research Nurse, Neurosurgical Institute

Cedars-Sinai Health System has an opening for a Research Nurse to:

• Coordinate clinical research trials in the Neurovascular Center with MD, including patient enrollment, patient education, clinical patient assessment, and data collection.
• Write and submit IRB applications and budgets for new studies in Neurointervention, Neurovascular Surgery, and Stroke Neurology.
• Organize and submit IDE (Investigational Device Exemption) and HDE (Humanitarian Device Exemption) device applications.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and compliance with clinical trials, maintain records for site review and grant/study submission.
• Organize data collection, including SAE (Serious Adverse Event) forms, etc. for Neurovascular database.
• Round with the Neurovascular team on inpatients enrolled in studies, participate in outpatient Neurovascular clinic and assist in meetings, conferences and other educational conferences. Examine patients and perform N.I.H. stroke scale score when indicated.
• Estimated responsibilities: 50% patient interaction/assessment, 50% administrative. No evening or weekend on-call responsibilities.

BSN required Masters preferred, C RN license required.  Prior experience as a clinical research nurse with working knowledge of FDA and IRB protocols and experience with Neurosurgical/Neurology patients preferred.
