General Summary:Works in collaboration with a physician to diagnose and manage treatment of hospitalized patients. The Acute Care Nurse scope of responsibilities include therapeutic health service that focus on health restoration, health maintenance and disease prevention. Provides health education and counseling to individuals and families.

Minimum Requirement:Current active licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland. Completion of a nurse practitioner approved by the Maryland State Board of Nursing. Successful completion of nation certifying examination acceptable to the Maryland State Board of Nursing. Verification of current national certification. CPR and ACLS certified. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a professional nursing role preferred. Maintain basic cardiac life support certification. Able to use computers. Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends English. Physical requirements for this position includes lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling, stooping, kneeling or crawling, motor coordination, communication skills, visual acuity.
